For Projects · Fake applicants · Automated outreach

Too many fake applicants or bot messages? Try a different approach.

Hiring, outsourcing and sourcing cannot stop simply because automatic messages are easier to generate. The goal is not to demand more personal data from everyone—it is to make worthwhile conversations easier to find.

Short answer: Use several controls together: clearer opportunity descriptions, relevant work evidence, rate limits, and abuse reporting. inclinq adds another approach: small Talent-side THREAD messaging charges at defined checkpoints, intended to make mass contact less economical.

The practical starting point

Accounts and Standard listings are free for both Projects and Talent during the inclinq public pilot. Learn how the platform works, then select your region to create an account.

Why fake applicants are an operational problem

Automated profiles and generic replies may create review work with little prospect of a useful conversation. But an unusual applicant or a person using AI writing tools is not automatically fake. The aim is to reduce low-value volume without unfairly excluding genuine people.

For a hiring Project, this may mean too many irrelevant applications. For a buyer, service provider, or business advertising a need, it may mean repetitive inquiries that never develop into a transaction.

What can a Project do today?

Practical controls should be proportional: check the relevance of the response, not only how polished it sounds. Use a clear description of the task and let respondents show relevant work before requesting unnecessary sensitive information.

  • State the need precisely. Describe deliverables, constraints, experience, location where relevant, and the next step.
  • Request relevant evidence. Ask about previous work or approach to the actual problem. Do not mistake generative-AI writing for proof of fraud.
  • Limit automated abuse. Rate limiting, reporting and targeted verification are distinct controls. None is a universal guarantee.
  • Keep personal data proportional. Ask for sensitive documents only when there is a genuine reason and a verified recipient.

How inclinq changes the economics of mass contact

On inclinq, a Project publishes what it needs and a Talent publishes what they can offer. A free Standard listing can describe a role, a task, a service, or goods to be sourced. There is no commission on a completed hire, contract or sale.

Talent-side THREAD messaging requires a small charge at the first message and later defined checkpoints. Each additional paid checkpoint introduces a real cost, unlike an unlimited free messaging system. The intent is to reduce the attractiveness of indiscriminate high-volume contact; it is not a verified reduction in bots.

Important limit: this fee does not prove a person is real, does not authenticate an identity, and does not prevent all spam or all account creation. A free account is not a verified account.

When inclinq is worth trying

Consider the public pilot if you want to advertise a need and hear from people who can offer work, expertise, services, or goods—without paying a success fee or requiring every person to upload identification just to create an account.

Projects can create an account and post a Standard advertisement for free. The pilot is new: we do not promise a certain number of contacts, that all contacts are genuine, or that a response will lead to an agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Does the $1 THREAD charge eliminate bots?

No. It is a cost barrier at specified Talent messaging checkpoints, not proof of identity or an anti-bot guarantee. Some automated traffic can still occur.

Does inclinq screen or reject applicants with AI?

No automatic hiring decision is promised. People can use their preferred AI tools to organize and compare published information, then decide for themselves.

Can I use inclinq to source services or goods, not only staff?

Yes. Projects describe a need; Talent can offer skills, work, services or goods they can supply. The pilot remains focused on direct advertisements and conversations.

What does joining the inclinq pilot cost?

Projects and Talent can register and post a Standard advertisement for free. Premium placements are paid advertising; Talent THREAD messages have defined charges. No success commission is charged.
